Our Story

From a young age, Kimberly Srisark knew she wanted to work with animals and when she was 17 years old, she began pet grooming in her hometown of Brigham City, Utah. At the age of 23, she opened her first grooming shop, Kim and Mindy’s Paradise Pet Spa in Fallbrook, California. In 2009, Kim met her husband Nat and in Aug 2011 they began transforming Sydnee’s Pet Grooming in San Marcos, California from a standard grooming shop into a trendy, fun place for people and pets, Sydnee’s now grooms over 13,000 pets a year and is home to the Furry Facial, the premier product in the pet grooming industry. Together they turned their love and passion for animals into a business that promotes healthy living and amazing style for people’s pets!

Is Your Pet Too Old to Get Groomed?

Your Pet is Never Too Old for Grooming

Older pets experience aches and pains that are similar to humans. They can be uncomfortable from joint issues or tire very easily, but being clean definitely helps with their overall health and well being. Here are some issues to to keep in mind when bringing your elderly pet in for a groom.

Fancy schmancy cuts may be no longer appropriate for them. This grooming process can take a much longer time and can be grueling on the older lads and lasses. Getting them styled in a shorter do many be the best because it will take less time and leave them more comfortable for a longer period. This way they don’t have to be groomed as often and that can be much less stressful on them.

At Sydnee’s we also do our very best to make your pet comfortable. Whether they need a rest between grooming processes, or if they need to lay down to be groomed, we can and will do everything possible to make grooming easier on them!

Beverly Hills Steps Up for Rescue Pets!

Beverly Hills speaks up for homeless pets

Beverly Hills has passed an ordinance that bans pet stores from selling dogs unless they come from a rescue or a shelter. They have followed approximately 80 other cities in passing this ordinance which will hopefully set an example for more cities to follow. San Diego passed this law in 2013. While not all stores participate in puppy mills, it’s important to check where the pet came from before purchasing.

Millions of dogs are in shelters and rescues across the U.S, many of them in kill shelters waiting to be euthanized. For people wanting to find a dog to adopt there are many different options in rescues and shelters that have a variety of pure bred and mixed breed dogs. Many people just don’t know the harsh environment that these puppies come from and that by rescuing they are not only saving one life but saving many by not contributing to puppy mills.

There are many benefits to rescuing a dog. When you rescue, often times you have more options of breed and mixed breed dogs. There are many puppies in rescues as well as older dogs. Adopting an older dog is a great option for many people that may not want to spend the time, energy, or training that goes into raising a puppy. A huge benefit in adopting from rescues or shelters is they do temperament tests on all dogs before they are adopted out. They test the dog to see if it has any aggressive behaviors. They test to see if they are compatible with children and other pets. Many rescues also test basic training knowledge such as house training. Pets from shelters and rescues usually come with all of their vaccines, medical checkups, and spayed or neutered which will save time and money. Many pets in rescues and shelters are perfectly healthy, happy pets that were placed there by people’s circumstances. The dog sin shelters and rescues are loving, caring pets that deserve to live the rest of their lives outside of bars in the arms and hearts of people who will love them and take care of them. They are just waiting for a loving family to give them a forever home.

For specials, events, & news, join our community!

We love sharing knowledge & stories about the pets & people we're lucky to know.

We are so Thankful for our Firefighters.

We all know that every summer California and other parts of the country experience dry season and with dry season comes fires. Our firefighters put their lives on the line everyday in order to protect our homes, our families and our pets.

Sydnee’s Pet Grooming wants our local firefighters to know just how much we appreciate them so for our Septemeber Paw It Forward, we chose to give them and their family a break and groom their pets for free.

Even though there are not enough thank yous in the world to truly express how appreciated your efforts are, THANK YOU from the Sydnee’s family.
